European Investment Fund makes formal funding commitment to TCHF II
2 June 2015, Utrecht – Today the European Investment Fund (EIF) has communicated a formal commitment for an investment in Thuja Capital Healthcare Fund II. The commitment amounts to EUR 15M assuming a fund size of EUR 35M.
The EIF is part of the European Investment Bank, and one of its goals is to stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship in the European member states, by supplying capital to carefully selected venture capital funds. EIF participates as a normal fund investor (limited partner), and takes stakes up to 49% of the total committed fund capital. EIF is known for their profound due diligence, aiming to select the best fund managers. An EIF commitment is therefore highly regarded.
The team of Thuja Capital aims to have a final close of Thuja Capital Healthcare Fund II in the third quarter of 2015.
