The Dutch Future Fund (DFF) was launched by Invest-NL and EIF on 30 October 2020. This new initiative offers fresh funding to innovative SMEs who are ready to scale up. Both parties agreed to commit €150 million, enabling DFF to mobilise a total of €1.5 billion in capital in due course. Invest-NL's investment includes a funding contribution of €25 million from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. The DFF targets in particular investments focusing on the energy transition, sustainability and the circular economy, thematic objectives which are priorities for the Netherlands and the EIB Group. The initiative is aimed at supporting Dutch SMEs which have been adversely impacted by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic with fresh capital for investing. The fund is managed and administered by EIF.
